Vivo’s next foldable is out to break records—or at least match them. According to an exclusive report from Xpert Pick, they have uncovered some details about the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5.
One of the big talking points is just how thin it is. When unfolded, the thinnest Vivo foldable phone comes in at only 4.3mm. For some context, the Honor Magic V3 is slightly fatter by a hair at 4.4mm, while the Oppo Find N5—another contender in the thin foldables race—also clocks in at 4.2mm. Basically, we’re talking razor-thin territory.
As for the rest of the specs, the report claims that users can look forward to a 6.53-inch LTPO cover screen (120Hz), and an 8.03-inch 2K+ AMOLED display inside, also running at 120Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will also power it (yes, the same one from last year’s X Fold 3 Pro), paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The Vivo X Fold 5 is also rumored to pack a massive 6,000mAh battery, bigger than any other foldable currently. It will be paired with 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. On the camera front, you’re looking at a pair of 32MP selfie shooters (one on the cover, one inside) and a rear triple-camera setup: a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary, a 50MP ultra-wide with autofocus, and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x zoom.
There’s no word on a launch date or pricing yet, but last year’s Pro debuted at Rs 1,59,999, so expect something similar.
