For anyone who remembers the halcyon years of The Dark Project, The Metal Age, and Deadly Shadows, that’s surely one of the most pleasing sentences imaginable, especially if they were stung by Square Enix’s questionable 2014 reboot. And yes, it’s happening. The series that defined stealth, inspired Deus Ex, and gave us Garrett is finally, officially back. But I’m afraid to say there’s a catch. Depending on your hardware setup, the new Thief game, Legacy of Shadow, might be off limits for you. This is Half-Life Alyx all over again.
