Google Pixel 10 release date, pre-orders, and launch window now confirmed

The Google Pixel 10 release date is finally official, and it’s not as early as some were hoping. According to a report from Android Headlines, Google has pushed the Made by Google event back a week to August 20, 2025. The Pixel 10 family will hit store shelves starting August 28, so circle that date if you’re planning to upgrade.

Pixel 10 pre-orders begin August 20. This will take place right after the event and will cover all expected models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. As usual, there are whispers that we’ll see the Pixel Watch 4 on the same day, but that isn’t locked in yet.

For those wondering, this year’s Made by Google is just a week later than last year’s Pixel 9 launch (August 13, 2024). Some folks got invites for an early Pixel Superfan event on June 25, leading to rumors about an earlier launch. Nope, Google’s sticking to the late-August schedule.

As for the design, if you’ve seen the CAD renders, you know the Pixel 10 lineup isn’t changing much. Google’s playing it safe, keeping the same design and sizes as the Pixel 9 series. If you wanted something wild and different, this isn’t the year for it.

You’ll get the same mix: Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro at familiar sizes, a bigger Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a new Pixel 10 Pro Fold for anyone going foldable. Google is keeping the “Pro” moniker around, which should help with clarity and branding.
