Nothing Phone 3 design leaked confirms death of the glyph

The Nothing Phone 3 design leak just landed, and if you were hoping for another round of flashy lights, you might be in for a letdown. The leaked render, shared by Max Jambor, shows a Nothing Phone 3 that ditches the brand’s hallmark Glyph Interface entirely. That’s right, the external lighting that gave previous Nothing phones their character looks to be gone.

The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to launch July 1 at about £800 in the UK. This matches the Galaxy S25’s price, and $800 in the US. That price should get you a flagship Snapdragon chip, a top-tier triple camera, and a big battery.

What you probably won’t get is any of the signature Glyph lighting that made the first two Nothing Phones stand out. Instead, the back panel in the render looks, well, quirky just for the sake of being quirky. There are graphics, but most of the actual internals are covered up by dull gray sheets. Honestly, it’s not even clear if the panel is truly transparent or just printed to look that way.

Staring at the render, the phone’s design feels busy but also plain. The classic dot-matrix Nothing logo is there, but not the regulatory text. A single red square and a white dial are thrown into the mix for some contrast. There’s also an “Essential Key” (no details on what it does yet), plus the power and volume buttons, but good luck telling which is which at a glance.

Nothing had previously teased that the Glyph Interface might be “dead,” but most folks figured it was just marketing. Now, with this render, it looks like the Glyph is really gone for good.
