Google’s Pixel Tease: Cool New Features Are (Almost) Here
Google IO 2025 AM AH 1

Google I/O just happened, and the company announced some pretty amazing stuff. Well, as always, Pixel users got first dibs on many of the features. Now, Google sent out an email letting Pixel owners know what new features to expect soon.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact date when Google is going to launch these features. All we know is that most of them will launch within the next couple of weeks. So, you will have to be patient.

Google released an email teasing what new features are coming soon

First and foremost, Google showed off the all-new material three expressive design. This aesthetic is “flexible and customizable to reflect your personality and style.” It has the same bubbly and smooth look and feel that was introduced with Material You back with Android 12. However, there are new colors, animations, and interactions that give it a completely different flair. It will be coming soon to Android and Wear OS, along with most Google Apps.  So, be on the lookout for that.

Next, there are some Gemini announcements. During Google I/O, the company announced that Gemini Live will be able to integrate with more apps. This is the more conversational version of Gemini, which sounds much more like an actual assistant. We got the word that Gemini Live will be able to work with apps like Google Tasks, Google Calendar, and Google Keep. Also, there will be tighter integration with Google Maps.

Lastly, Google also announced that it will bring Gemini over to the Pixel Watch. This is something that we shouldn’t be surprised about. The company has been slowly phasing out Google Assistant in favor of Gemini. So, it looks like the next step in the process is scrubbing Assistant from the Pixel Watch.

You will be able to access Gemini from your Pixel Watch and have a more conversational experience. It will improve the experience, but there’s a catch: Google said that this feature is coming out in the coming months. So, there’s still a bit of a wait with this one.
