realme 10,000mAh battery phone could arrive as soon as 2026
realme’s 10,000mAh battery phone could launch by 2026. Here’s what’s standing in the way and why it’s a big deal for smartphone users. The post realme 10,000mAh battery phone could arrive as soon as 2026 appeared first on Phandroid.

realme has everyone talking about its prototype 10,000mAh battery phone. The company showed off the massive battery tech a few weeks back, but skipped a public demo at the GT 7 launch in Paris. Still, realme’s VP and CMO, Chase Xu, confirmed a realme 10,000mAh battery phone is in the pipeline—just don’t expect it right away.
Speaking to Android Headlines, Xu says there’s no specific timeline yet. But realme is working to bring this beast to market once a few big hurdles are solved. The company is actually getting pretty close. realme has a 7,500mAh battery phone that is launching this year. That’s a 1,000mAh leap from last year’s GT 7 Pro, or about a 14% jump in battery size year-over-year. Not bad for a phone you can actually buy soon.
So, what’s holding realme back from launching a 10,000mAh battery phone? Space. Silicon-carbon batteries are thinner and denser, but a 10,000mAh cell still needs a lot of room. Imagine try to squeeze in a battery with that capacity inside a phone chassis. It would have to sit alongside features like a telephoto camera.
Then there’s the issue of cooling. Larger batteries mean more heat is generated, and nobody wants a phone that’s chunky or runs hot all the time. Poor cooling is bad for battery life and overall longevity.
realme has already filing patents for smarter PCB layouts to make this possible. If battery tech keeps moving this fast, it’s realistic to expect a realme 10,000mAh battery phone soon. For now, realme’s 7,500mAh phone is the next step. But the 10,000mAh milestone is coming. Just give it a little more time.
