PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have access to the Game Catalog, which gives subscribers a plethora of games to play at no additional cost. Sony just revealed one of its next additions, available on the day of its release.
Abiotic Factor is the next day-1 PS Plus Game Catalog game
Announced on the PS Blog, Deep Field Games revealed its cooperative game, Abiotic Factor, will launch on PS5 on July 22. The game will be available on the PS Plus Game Catalog when it launches, which means Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to check out the upcoming game with their subscription.
To celebrate the release date for Abiotic Factor, a new trailer was released showing off some bits of gameplay.
Abiotic Factor is currently in Early Access on PC via Steam. As such, there aren’t reviews of the game just yet. However, Steam reviews suggest it’s a pretty solid cooperative survival game. With over 23,000 user reviews, the general verdict is “Overwhelmingly Positive.”
“Abiotic Factor is a survival crafting experience for 1-6 players set in the depths of an underground research facility,” reads the game’s description. “Caught between paranormal containment failure, a military crusade, and chaos from a dozen realms, the world’s greatest minds must survive against the universe’s biggest threats.”
July 2025 seems to be a really great month for PS Plus subscribers. Along with Abiotic Factor, there will be three free monthly games for all members to download. This includes Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant. Players can begin downloading these titles on Tuesday, July 1. The offer ends on August 4.
