Update on the Giant Bomb Website
We're very excited to announce that we are in the process of building a new website. We believe the site is integral to the culture of Giant Bomb, and we want to reinvest in it as a platform for the community and to continue facilitating the weird stuff we do here.We are committed to continuing and maintaining:The full backlog of video contentAll podcasts and feedsArticles and reviewsForumsLivestream pages (ad free for premium subscribers)...and the Wiki!Other features of the site: TBD, but no matter what we will try to maintain your access to your written content.We are targeting a August '25 Premium-Only Beta for the site, and an end of year full launch.Chucktowski has been working with us on all things IT, and he is spearheading the site rebuild and will be managing the wiki rebuild effort. Feel free to reach out to him anytime!Speaking of the Giant Bomb Wiki: it is an extraordinary piece of this site's history and culture, and is the result of thousands of users' hard work on maintaining it in addition to the fantastic engineering done by folks over the years. We want to take the wiki into 2026 and beyond, better than it was before, and maintain all historical content on the wiki.In order to accomplish this, we are making the Giant Bomb Wiki "open source," and will have a GitHub repository that the community can contribute to, improve, and maintain. We use open source in quotes because we are very likely using wiki solutions that exist out there today, but will want to customize to fit our needs and in particular we will want to style to suit the Giant Bomb style. How Can You Help?We will be organizing the open source wiki effort on the Giant Bomb Discord in the #wiki-street-team channel. If you would like this role, please fill out this Google Form outlining your experience and user information. You can also message a moderator on the Discord if you'd like to join that way.We could also super, duper, super use your help financially in order to support the rebuild, hosting costs, and the day-to-day.
