After the premium Galaxy S-series, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 update to the mid-range Galaxy A-series smartphones. Earlier this month, the Galaxy A54 grabbed the One UI 7 update in the US, followed by the Galaxy A34 just a day ago. Today, Samsung has reportedly rolled out the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy A53 in the US.

The Galaxy A53 gets the stable One UI 7 in the US

A few weeks ago, the same smartphone received the same update in the Asian and European markets. As SamMobile notes, the One UI 7 update is now live for the carrier-locked Galaxy A53 units in the US.

The latest update carries a firmware version A536USQUEFYE4 and weighs around 3GB. The update apparently brings the May 2025 security patch. What’s nice is that the update covers almost every smartphone carrier in the US. The list includes T-Mobile, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Dish, MetroPCS, Spectrum Mobile, and US Cellular.

If you have a factory-unlocked variant of the Galaxy A53, you should also receive the One UI 7 update soon. Not to mention, the One UI 7 update brings a lot of new features to the Galaxy A53. The latest update brings a refreshed user interface with updated app icons, customizable lockscreen, and more. That’s not all; you can also check better widget customization options, larger home screen folders, and a bunch of AI features.

Installing the update is a breeze

If you have a carrier-locked Galaxy A53 and live in the US, make sure to check for software updates now. You can head to Settings > Software Update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap install now, and your Android phone should take some time before it installs the One UI 7 update and boots the fresh look and feel.
