Players are crossing their fingers for a fan favorite PS3 game remaster on PS5 after a curious listing cropped up online. By curious we mean very obviously fake. A viral tweet shared a link to a “leaked” listing for “LittleBigPlanet Remastered” that got picked up by a few websites and got fans all excited. However, we are pretty sure it’s all fake.

Firstly, the game appears on IMDB, where anyone can create a page without hassle. Since the listing went live, it’s been edited with conflicting information multiple times which further proves that someone was just messing around.
“Rediscover Sackboy like never before with stunning reimagined graphics, new content, and more. Rebuilt for PlayStation 5,” the description originally read. It has now been changed to add a note stating that “this was an old community pitch, not official.”
That hasn’t stopped fans from hoping that LittleBigPlanet Remastered turns out to be a real thing, though.
Unfortunately, this fake listing is unlikely to ever become a reality. For starters, Sony seems to have pulled the plug on the franchise for now, if its recent erasure of Sackboy is any indication. Secondly, LBP developer Media Molecule has been severely gutted.
A LittleBigPlanet spin-off — Sackboy: A Big Adventure — was handed over to Sumo Digital but it was not a commercial success and was yet another nail in the coffin for the IP.
