An oft overlooked (by Sony, that is) PS Store feature is busted on PS5 yet again, months after it was stealthily improved. A while back, Sony removed its PS Store wishlist cap, allowing players to add more than 100 games. But it looks like removing that cap didn’t exactly work as intended.
PS Store wishlist cap was removed a while back but it rarely works on PS5
When Sony originally removed the wishlist cap, we were able to add well over 100 games. Now, a large number of players are complaining that their wishlist shows blank entries like this:
Having seen multiple threads like these pop up over the last few weeks, I decided to investigate a little bit. According to some ResetEra users, those who go over 100 games on their wishlist are more likely to face this issue. I tried this on my end and can confirm that my wishlist populates blank tiles if I add more than a hundred games.
It appears that although Sony removed the needless restriction on PS Store wishlists, the feature still doesn’t work if players go beyond the original cap.
As someone who often uses the wishlist for smaller games and hidden gems — and there are thousands of those on the PS Store — I can see why players end up adding 100+ games easily.
Here’s hoping a fix is incoming.
