Umamusume English Version Will Update at a Faster Pace
Cygames announced on social media that it intends to issue updates and add events, characters, and quality of life features at a faster pace to the English, global version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby to get it up to par with the Japanese release. Some elements that will be available right away are crossplay, a Jukebox, and landscape mode races, and Guided Career will appear sometime after. Some of these elements are self-explanatory. Crossplay means you can use your account in the PC or mobile version of the game at launch. The Jukebox is a music player feature. Once selected, you can hear all of the horse girls’ songs outside of special situations. While originally the perspective for races featured a portrait mode look, at launch we can see it in landscape on both PCs and mobile devices. As for Guided Career, that’s a way to play the Career mode that makes it a bit faster, as it essentially enables an auto-play feature that handles training for you. Normally, how it works is we would choose one of the scenarios and a character. We then would need to go through this training storyline and manage the characters to ensure they complete it successfully. Once one finishes, you can use them in other modes. This feature debuted after the fourth anniversary in the Japanese version in early 2025. Finally, the schedule will be accelerated. All banners for Umamusume: Pretty Derby characters and events will come up at a faster pace, but each one will last as long as it normally would. This will happen until it catches up with the Japanese release. We’ll learn more about Umamusume: Pretty Derby and the English version at Anime Expo 2025. Cygames will have a booth at the July 3-6, 2025 event. It will also offer a showing of the movie Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Beginning of a New Era there. We also already know that every new player gets 30 Goddess Statues, 45 Alarm Clocks, 45 Toughness 30s, 3,750 Carats, 50,000 Support Points, and 100,000 Monies. In the meantime, a number of new trailers appeared for characters.
