New Disney+ movies have been few and far between in recent weeks. But, with the arrival of Marvel's first film of 2025 on one of the world's best streaming services, the platform's latest barren spell is over for the time being.

Indeed, Captain America: Brave New World has taken flight on Disney+, so one of the most anticipated new movies of the year (ahead of its original theatrical release, anyway) is now available to watch at home.

New Disney Plus movies: coming soon

At the time of this article's latest update (May 28), there's only one original film that'll be joining our new Disney+ movies list in the weeks ahead. That's Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated anthology flick from Prey director Dan Trachtenburg. It'll be available on Disney+ internationally, but only on Hulu in the US, from June 6.

British audiences will be able to check out a plethora of other movies from one specific film franchise, too – that being, the Tom Cruise-starring Mission Impossible movie series. Prepare for the first six films' arrival on June 1 by humming its iconic theme tune, everyone!
