MrProptek: World's first AI property booking app launches in Chandigarh

In a world where booking a house still often involves paperwork, brokers, and long waits, a 23-year-old entrepreneur is betting big on artificial intelligence to change the game. Launched in Chandigarh on May 27, MrProptek claims to be the world’s first AI-enabled property booking platform—and it comes with ambitions as large as its vision.

The app is the brainchild of Aagman Bhatia, a recent AI/ML postgraduate from Plaksha University, and KS Bhatia, founder of Pumpkart. Together, the father-son duo wants to simplify property discovery and transactions—globally and instantly.

Government endorsement at launch

The startup received a strong institutional boost at its unveiling, which was officiated by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria in Chandigarh. Calling the app a reflection of India's digital future, Kataria praised the innovation as a matter of pride for the region.

“It is a matter of pride for Chandigarh and Punjab that the world’s first such app has been launched by a young and dynamic entrepreneur,” he said.

He also linked MrProptek’s mission to key national initiatives like Digital India, Skill India, and Startup India, underscoring the platform’s alignment with government-backed innovation.

What is MrProptek?

MrProptek positions itself as the “Zomato for property”. Using a combination of artificial intelligence, 4K virtual walkthroughs, and an in-app AI assistant named Oora, the app allows users to search, compare, and book properties—both residential and commercial—in under 10 minutes.

The tech stack is anchored by two core features:

  • Oora, an AI assistant that provides real-time recommendations and location intelligence.
  • Aug, a 4K virtual walk-through engine with room measurement, interior toggles, and a “dollhouse” view of properties.

Users can book verified listings directly through the app—without needing brokers—and even conduct live Google Meet calls with builders. Payment and documentation are integrated securely, enabling seamless transactions.

From Chandigarh to the world

Though the app is starting in Chandigarh and Mohali—with builders like Homeland, Noble, and The Zirk already onboard—its roadmap is anything but local. MrProptek plans to launch in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Surat over the next 60 days, and has set its sights on Dubai by August 2025, with a broader global rollout across Asia and the Middle East by 2028.

The listings span a wide spectrum—from affordable Indian apartments to private islands, beach villas, and ultra-luxury properties abroad.

A startup solving real pain points

For co-founder KS Bhatia, known for building Pumpkart into a successful hardware e-commerce brand, MrProptek is another attempt to simplify a broken industry. The startup claims to eliminate brokerage inefficiencies, prevent fraudulent listings, and shorten decision cycles that typically take weeks or months.

Aagman Bhatia, speaking at the launch, summed up the mission:

“What used to take months now will take hours… users can explore, compare, and book properties globally—from the comfort of their phone or laptop.”

A Property tech disruptor in the making

As India’s real estate sector embraces digital tools, MrProptek is entering a fast-evolving space with massive potential. While online property platforms are not new, most still rely heavily on human agents. MrProptek’s promise lies in minimising that dependency and bringing AI-driven, user-first experiences to property buying.

Whether it can scale globally and compete with incumbents remains to be seen. But its bold vision, AI-led approach, and government endorsement give it a strong head start.
