Samsung’s next big launch event is now just weeks away. According to a leak from Evan Blass, Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is scheduled for July 9, kicking off at 10AM EST (7AM PST). The event is expected to take place in New York, and if the rumors hold up, it could mark one of Samsung’s most interesting foldable refreshes in years.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 might be ditching Qualcomm this year. Reports suggest Samsung could use its in-house Exynos 2500 chipset for its Flip 7 models instead of the usual Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. That’s an interesting move, especially for a premium foldable.
The Fold 7, on the other hand, is still expected to stick with Snapdragon across the board. This is similar to last year’s lineup.
Both new foldables are also expected to rely heavily on Galaxy AI. It builds on the momentum Samsung started with the Galaxy S24 series. A recent leak suggests that buyers may even get a free trial or subscription to Google’s AI Pro service, which would introduce more advanced features like enhanced summarization, real-time translation, or smart editing tools into the mix.
Alongside the phones, Samsung is also rumored to unveil three new smartwatches at its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. This includes the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and an updated Galaxy Watch Ultra. Take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully, Samsung will start sending out invites soon.
