All Ancestral Forge Collectibles In Doom: The Dark Ages

The Ancestral Forge is the ninth level in Doom: The Dark Ages, taking place mainly in a small mine. This level contains four collectibles, which consist of toys, codex entries, and weapon skins found in secret areas around each level. Secret Key LocationYou will need the secret key to get all of the collectibles in this level; It can be found near the far right switch you need to flip as part of the main objective. Collectible 1 - Ancestral Forge CodexIn the northwestern part of the map, this codex page can be found by hopping off a ledge onto a small platform. Collectible 2 - Vagary ToyStarting from the switch in the left area that you need to flip for the main objective, you can jump to a ledge where some gold leads to a secret key located area. Head through that door and climb up the wall in front of you. Follow the path to the top of this area, where there is a Ruby statue and the Vagary Toy. Collectible 3 - Nightmare Super ShotgunTowards the end of the underground section, after charging the heart, there is a chain above you that you can break with the shield. This will lower a platform. Head forward and use the shield switch to raise the platform and turn around. You can jump to the platform you lowered earlier and use the green statues above to shield jump up top. You can find the weapon skin up there. Collectible 4 - CodexThe codex entry is on the platform right next to the skin.

Secret Key Location

You will need the secret key to get all of the collectibles in this level; It can be found near the far right switch you need to flip as part of the main objective.

Collectible 1 - Ancestral Forge Codex

In the northwestern part of the map, this codex page can be found by hopping off a ledge onto a small platform.

Collectible 2 - Vagary Toy

Starting from the switch in the left area that you need to flip for the main objective, you can jump to a ledge where some gold leads to a secret key located area. Head through that door and climb up the wall in front of you. Follow the path to the top of this area, where there is a Ruby statue and the Vagary Toy.

Collectible 3 - Nightmare Super Shotgun

Towards the end of the underground section, after charging the heart, there is a chain above you that you can break with the shield. This will lower a platform. Head forward and use the shield switch to raise the platform and turn around. You can jump to the platform you lowered earlier and use the green statues above to shield jump up top. You can find the weapon skin up there.

The codex entry is on the platform right next to the skin.
