Samsung teases a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra

Samsung is hinting at something big for its next foldables, and for once, it’s not just another leak—it’s official. In a new press release, Samsung is telling us to “Meet the Next Chapter of Ultra,” alongside what looks like the outline of a Galaxy Z Fold 7. And let’s be honest, the Ultra branding is the part that really jumps out.

If you’re thinking this means we’ll finally see a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, you’re not alone. There have been rumors about a Z Fold Ultra before, but they always faded out, especially after Samsung launched the slimmer Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special back in 2024. That model sold out in minutes, but it wasn’t an Ultra by name, just by design. Earlier this year, another rumor popped up about a possible Z Fold 6 Ultra—again, nothing concrete. Now, Samsung is deliberately pushing the Ultra narrative. If they’ve managed to keep a true Ultra model under wraps all this time, that would be wild.

But here’s the confusing bit: Samsung hasn’t said anything clear. Is Ultra now just marketing talk, or is the Z Fold 7 about to get all the best bits from the Galaxy S Ultra series? And if so, is this Ultra thing only for the Fold, or is the Z Flip getting left out? Even fans are scratching their heads at what it means for the lineup. If there isn’t a new Ultra model, then this whole teaser is just, well, extra confusing.

One thing’s for sure: Samsung’s next foldables are coming this summer. We might see an Ultra model. Or maybe not. Either way, Samsung sure knows how to keep people guessing—and that alone is worth talking about.
