PS Plus users are reminded that the first June 2025 Essential monthly game will be available today to all subscribers. Players would be forgiven for overlooking the announcement of Destiny 2: The Final Shape (PS4, PS5) joining PS Plus today amidst all the Days of Play hoopla.
PS Plus Essential gets four monthly games in June 2025
If The Final Shape isn’t available to claim in your region yet, wait a while as Sony staggers the rollout of PS Plus games and the PS Store is updated at specific times. You will need to install the free-to-play base game to make the add-on work.
The Final Shape includes the new story campaign, three new Supers, a new destination, new weapons and armor, and access to one episode (the one that is currently active) in the year of The Final Shape.
June 2025 is a bit of an outlier for Essential users as subscribers get four titles as opposed to the usual three. Besides The Final Shape, the lineup comprises of NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. The remaining three games will be added on the first Tuesday of the month as usual. In this case, that’ll be June 3.
