Beloved PS5 Exclusive Game Hid a Major Easter Egg for 4 Years

Insomniac Games‘ acclaimed 2021 PS5 exclusive game has been hiding an Easter Egg for four years that went undiscovered. Yesterday, the developer revealed that it hid a prototype of mini game inside Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which is playable even though it’s a little rough.

How to access PS5 exclusive Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s hidden mini game

As explained by senior designer Grant Parker, the mini game was never properly completed but instead of cutting it out of Rift Apart entirely, he decided to hide it behind a cheat code of sorts. Players are usually pretty good at finding Easter Eggs, but we feel like this one may have been impossible to find.

So, what is this mini game? When players enter Zurkie’s, they’re greeted with ‘no weapons’ signs on both sides of the door. Shoot the left sign five times, then the right sign four times, then back to shooting the left sign 13 times. Go inside and approach the mechanical bull, and then hold L2 to ride the bull. And that’s it. It’s a bull riding mini game.

Be warned that there are no proper animations in this mini game as it’s unfinished content. But it doesn’t hurt to check it out if you still have a copy of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
