Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds add ANC and snore-blocking tech

The Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds aren’t trying to be your workout buds or everyday headphones. They’re here for one thing—helping you get through the night. And this time, they’re packing serious upgrades.

The Sleep A30 improves on the A20 in a few key areas, but the headline feature is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)—finally. Add in snore detection that kicks in automatically and a design that’s smaller and softer, and you’ve got a pair of sleep earbuds that might actually make a difference.

Snore detection that reacts in real time

What sets the Soundcore Sleep A30 apart is the Adaptive Snore Masking. It’s not just passive noise masking. The case itself listens for snoring using built-in microphones. When it detects snoring nearby, it sends masking sounds directly to your ears via the earbuds. It’s a reactive system, not just white noise on a loop.

You’ll also get sleep tracking features—including movement and sleep position monitoring—so you can review your night in the Soundcore app. And yes, the A30 is smaller than the A20, so they don’t press awkwardly against your ears if you’re a side sleeper.

Battery tradeoffs depending on how you use them

If you’re only playing sleep sounds or using the snore masking, battery life is solid—up to 9 hours per charge, with 45 hours total using the case. But if you play music or podcasts, expect about 6.5 hours on a full charge. That’s shorter than the A20, which could hit 14 hours, but the tradeoff is understandable with ANC and extra sensors now onboard.

Like the previous model, Anker is launching the Soundcore Sleep A30 through Kickstarter first. Early backers can get it for $159, a discount from the planned retail price of $229.99. General sales are expected to begin in August, through both Amazon and Soundcore’s official store.

If you’re new to Anker’s audio gear, they’re kind of the go-to brand for solid value. Just look at the Soundcore Q20i—a pair of ANC headphones that’s currently $49.99 on Amazon (that’s $20 off). Not bad for a brand that keeps finding ways to punch above its price.
