Samsung’s next foldables might come with a little bonus: free Google AI Pro access. If you’re eyeing the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Z Flip 7, there’s a good chance you’ll get more than just new hardware. You might get a taste of Google’s most advanced AI features for free.
According to a teardown of the latest Google app beta (version 16.23.69.sa.arm64) by Android Authority, Google is prepping some kind of AI-related promo tied to Samsung’s upcoming foldables. While the leak doesn’t mention exact details, the wording points to a likely offer of Google AI Pro access—the subscription previously known as Gemini Advanced.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 AI perks could mirror the Galaxy S25’s. That phone came with a six-month trial of Gemini Advanced earlier this year. So this wouldn’t be uncharted territory for Samsung. The company also partnered with Perplexity AI earlier this year, giving some Galaxy owners a free year of Perplexity Pro in the US.
This rumored Google AI Pro promo would also line up with previous leaks suggesting tighter Gemini integration on the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Whether it’s for voice assistance, on-device summarization, or generative productivity tools, Google’s AI is becoming a bigger part of Samsung’s flagship pitch.
The only missing piece right now is the duration. Will Z Fold 7 buyers get a generous six months like the S25 series, or will Samsung go all-in with a full year this time around?
We won’t have to wait long to find out. Samsung’s Unpacked 2025 event is expected to happen in early July. That’s likely when we’ll get confirmation of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 AI perks—and everything else these foldables will bring to the table.
