Joker Will Be Playable in Persona 5: The Phantom X at Launch

Atlus announced that when the Persona 5: The Phantom X mobile spin-off launches, we’ll also see Ren “Joker” Amamiya appear as a playable character. He’ll be able to be acquired, though the announcement didn’t note if he’ll be part of a limited time gacha banner. There will also be an event based on the mainline game. So far, two screenshots appeared showing Joker and this event based on the console game in Persona 5: The Phantom X. One is a more cinematic sort of image of Joker with his arms spread out. In the other, we see original hero Wonder and his allies Lufel and Motoha Arai speaking to Ryuji “Skull” Sakamoto during a story segment. Here’s a gallery showing both of those images. Because the game already launched in places like China, we know he uses daggers and knives as a weapon. He’ll also have Arsene as his Persona, just as he did in the original Persona 5.
