Capcom announced that its critically acclaimed action-strategy game for PS4 and PS5, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, is receiving free DLC. The best part is that fans won’t have to wait long to experience the brand new content.
When does Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess free DLC release?
As seen in the new trailer, the new Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess DLC is called Otherworldly Venture. PS5 and PS4 players can grab the extra content for free as part of an update that will release on June 5. Check out a trailer below showcasing the upcoming content:
“‘Otherworldy Venture’ is extra content set in the realm behind the Torii Gates,” reads the DLC’s description. “While retaining the core elements of the main game, it features a simplified day-night cycle, and endless waves of fierce attacks from the Seethe, offering a challenging high-score attack mode to test your skills!”
Capcom originally released Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess last year for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Upon launch, it received favorable reviews. According to review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 80 across 46 critic reviews. At our sister site, ComingSoon, we gave the game a 9 out of 10.
“A wonderfully fresh combination of genres that probably shouldn’t mesh as well as it ultimately does, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a unique and thrilling game that shows just how creative Capcom can still be,” reads the review. “Whether you’re drawn in by the strategy elements or the prospect of taking down some incredible-looking demons, you’ll find a thrilling time to be had.”
The new update for the existing players, like those on PS5 and PS4, will be included in the Nintendo Switch 2 version when it launches alongside the console on June 5.
