Today, GSC Game World announced the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy – Enhanced Edition for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The collection includes Shadows of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Prypiat with upgraded visuals and other next-gen optimizations.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy – Enhanced Edition gets free PS5 upgrade
Beyond the overhauled visuals and enhancements, previous owners of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy on PS5 will get the Enhanced Edition for free. Newcomers to the trilogy can buy it as a bundle for $39.99, or individually at $19.99 per game.
Here are all the visual upgrades and console enhancements coming to the PS5 version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy according to the studio:
Visual upgrades
- Enhanced lighting with godrays, screen space reflections, and global illumination for a more immersive atmosphere.
- Upscaled textures and detailed 3D models for NPCs, weapons, and environments.
- Advanced shaders for water and wetness effects, paired with upgraded skyboxes for a more dynamic world.
- 4K pre-rendered cinematics for dramatic storytelling and improved weapon FOV for better combat visibility.
Console Enhancements and New Graphic Mods
- Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro: Quality (native 4K/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 4K/40 FPS), Performance (upscaled 4K/60 FPS), Ultra Performance (upscaled 2K/120 FPS).
- Xbox Series S: Quality (native 2K/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 2K/40 FPS), Performance (1080p/60 FPS).

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy was originally released for PS4 in March 2024. Earlier this month, the Enhanced Edition was rated in Taiwan, which confirmed the existence of the PS5 version. So, it was only a matter of time before this would be formally announced to the public.
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy – Enhanced Edition launches for PS5 on May 20. Additionally, it is one of the PS Plus May 2025 Game Catalog additions, so Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to play the classic shooters at no additional cost.
