OnePlus Pad 2 Pro debuts with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 3.4K display

The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is official—and it’s a beast. Launched in China, this tablet might not stay there for long. There’s a good chance it hits global markets later, especially since it shares a lot of DNA with the OPPO Pad 4 Pro from last year.

The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is the company’s new flagship tablet. It’s got slim bezels, a flat frame, and a clean design with just one rear camera tucked into the corner. Up front is a massive 13.2-inch 3.4K display (3392 x 2400), complete with a variable 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and up to 900 nits of brightness. There’s also a 540Hz touch sampling rate for good measure.

Powering everything is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite—the top chip in Qualcomm’s lineup right now. You can get the tablet with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and choose between 256GB or 512GB of blazing-fast UFS 4.0 storage.

It runs Android 15 out of the box with ColorOS 15 layered on top. Battery life shouldn’t be a concern, thanks to a 12,140mAh cell with 67W SuperVOOC charging. As for the cameras: 13MP on the back, 8MP on the front. Nothing groundbreaking, but enough for video calls and basic shooting.

There are also 8 speakers, Hi-Res Audio certification, and support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB 3.2 Gen 1. The whole thing weighs 675g and measures just under 6mm thick.

Pricing starts at CNY3,199 (around $443) for the base 8GB/256GB model. The maxed-out 16GB/512GB version goes for CNY3,999 ($554).
