Moto G Stylus 2025 pushes midrange limits with flagship features

The Moto G Stylus 2025 feels like Motorola’s loudest shot at the midrange game. Even with its playful name and that “leather-inspired” back, the Moto G Stylus 2025 shows Motorola isn’t messing around this year. At $399, it comes packed with IP68 water resistance, wireless charging, and even a headphone jack. But there’s always a catch.

Motorola finally dropped the clunky “5G” from the name, keeping things cleaner. More importantly, this year’s model gets a serious chip upgrade: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, replacing the Gen 1 from before. Motorola claims it makes the phone “6.4x more responsive” than last year’s version.

The Moto G Stylus 2025 isn’t just about the chip, though. The 6.7-inch OLED display runs up to 120Hz, pushing a slightly sharper 2712 x 1220 resolution. Cameras? A 50MP Sony Lytia sensor leads the way, backed by a 13MP ultrawide with macro support. You also get a generous 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. Honestly, these are flagship specs creeping into budget territory.

It even runs Android 15 out of the box, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Pretty solid, if you ask me.

The Moto G Stylus 2025 drops unlocked on April 17th for $399, with plans to hit the big US carriers in the following months. On paper, it’s an easy win. But if you’ve been burned by Motorola’s software before, you’d be smart to wait for reviews before jumping in.
