Introduction: Who I Am and Why I Started Writing on Dev.to
I've already written two articles, but I thought it would be helpful to share a bit about who I am. So here's a quick self-introduction. About Me Name: Ryo Ariyama Location: Tokyo, Japan Profession: Software Engineer I’ve been working as a Software Engineer since graduating from university. As of 2025, I’m in my 10th year in the field. I started my career at a system integrator for about two years, and then moved on to work at a web startup. My background is primarily in data engineering, but I also have experience with infrastructure and backend development. Why I Started Writing on Dev.to The main reason I started writing on Dev.to is to organize and clarify my own knowledge. At my previous company, there was an official tech blog where I could publish posts whenever I had something to share. However, my current company doesn’t have that, so I decided to publish on my own. I chose Dev.to because I wanted to write in English and it seemed like a platform purely focused on tech content. I also appreciate that it supports Markdown, which makes writing more comfortable. What I Plan to Write About I plan to write mainly about things I’ve learned through work and personal projects. At work, I often use Golang, Python, AWS, and Terraform, so I expect most of the content to revolve around those technologies. Each article will be around a 10-minute read, more or less. I’m planning to post once a week on Sundays, but I might slow down the pace if I run out of things to write about. Lastly, please note that this blog is mainly for my own learning and organization. I can’t guarantee the accuracy of the content, so please treat it as a reference only. If you have any questions or thoughts, feel free to share them!
