Bravil Recommendation Quest Guide In Oblivion Remastered

Like all other major cities across Cyrodiil, Bravil is home to a local Mages Guild branch in Oblivion Remastered. It's here where you can start the Bravil Recommendation quest, which is a requirement for you to get into the Arcane University and continue with the Mages Guild questline. However, Bravil Recommendation isn't a walk in the park like some of the other recommendation quests in the game, such as Chorrol Recommendation. Instead, Bravil Recommendation is a multi-step quest that requires you to outwit NPCs, travel to different locations, and wind up with a fairly rare staff. To see how to complete the Bravil Recommendation quest in Oblivion Remastered, check out the guide below. For a more detailed look at everything else in Oblivion Remastered, take a look at our full walkthrough of the game. Speaking to Kud-Ei and Varon VamoriThe Bravil Recommendation quest starts by speaking with Kud-Ei inside the Bravil Mages Guild, which is located on the western side of the city, just by the river. Kud-Ei is often located on the second floor of the guild, but depending on the time of day, she could be in a number of places. When you find Kud-Ei, speak to her about your recommendation to learn that she wants you to retrieve a Mage's Staff that was stolen from Ardaline. She also gives you a Beguile scroll, which helps persuade NPCs into revealing information. You can speak to another guild member named Varon Vamori about the theft. Vamori is roaming around the guild during the day, but the only way to get him to open up about the Mage's Staff is through a high disposition (above 65 to be exact). You can either use the Beguile scroll to get Vamori's disposition above 65, use the Persuasion Wheel in Oblivion Remastered to build disposition, or bribe Vamori, which also uses the persuasion menu.Any way you do it, once your disposition with Vamori is above 65, he'll admit that he sold the Mage's Staff to Soris Arenim in the Imperial City. Specifically, you have to visit the Talos Plaza District. Return to Kud-Ei with this news, and she'll give you some Beguile scrolls to try to convince Soris Arenim to give the staff back. Convincing Soris Arenim to give the staff backFollow the Bravil Recommendation quest marker to the Talos Plaza District in the Imperial City. Specifically, you have to head inside Soris Arenim's house in the district. In Soris' house, you can speak to him about the stolen Mage's Staff. However, before doing so, it's best to use the Beguile scroll on him immediately so he's at the highest disposition possible. You can also persuade or bribe Soris in dialogue if you don't want to use the scroll. Either way, once again, your disposition with Soris needs to be above 65 before he admits anything about the Mage's Staff. However, if you get your disposition with Soris over 70, he'll agree to sell the staff back to you for only 200 gold. If you don't want to pay the gold, you can open some drawers nearby that contain the staff. The key to these drawers is in Soris' desk in the upstairs part of the house, but the drawers can be lockpicked or opened with a spell. Regardless of how you get the Mage's Staff, once you have it, return to Kud-Ei at the Bravil Mages Guild. Giving the Mage's Staff back to Kud-EiOnce you've returned to the Bravil Mages Guild, speak to Kud-Ei and tell her you have found the stolen Mage's Staff. Kud-Ei will thank you for your service and agree to write you a recommendation for the Arcane University. Kud-Ei also gives you the Captivate spell, which is automatically added to your spellbook in Oblivion Remastered. You're now one step closer to getting all the recommendations you need to join the Arcane University. However, if Bravil was your last recommendation, you can immediately head to the university, which is located in the southeastern part of the Imperial City. At the university, head into the Arch-Mage's Lobby building and speak to Raminus Polus about your recommendations to officially start the Arcane University questline in Oblivion Remastered.
