Silent Hill 2 PS5, PC remake

When Silent Hill 2 launched last year, its PS5 Pro enhancements didn’t quite live up to expectations. Since then, players have been hoping Konami and Bloober Team will implement improvements. While it seems these technical issues won’t be fixed in the immediate future, the developer is working to find a solution to these issues.

Is the Silent Hill 2 PS5 Pro enhancements getting improved any time soon?

According to Eurogamer, Bloober Team confirmed in a statement that it is working on a fix for the Silent Hill 2 PS5 Pro issues. “We’re working with the publisher on a solution and will share more details as soon as we have them,” says the statement.

When these improvements will be implemented is still unknown. However, it has been a hot topic with Silent Hill 2 fans. In a recent Reddit thread, before this statement, players believed Bloober Team had abandoned fixing its technical issues.

“Yeah, it’s just sad at this point. I’ve given up on it,” said one Reddit user. “The [PS5] Pro version, which is supposed to be superior to the base [PS]5, is literally worse.”

“[Silent Hill 2] is also not fixed on pc (stutter/performance issues), so it’s probably abandoned at this point since they’re working on multiple different games,” said another user.

Despite its technical flaws on PS5 Pro, Silent Hill 2 was met with favorable reception when it launched last year. In the remake’s launch week, it hit equally impressive sales numbers. Specifically, within its launch weekend, it sold 1 million copies across physical and digital sales.

Silent Hill 2 is available for PS5 and PC. The Standard Edition, which just includes the base game, costs $69.99. The Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and Pyramid Head mask (pizza box) cosmetic, costs $79.99.
