See Resident Evil Requiem in First-Person or Third-Person

When Resident Evil Requiem debuts, it will follow the recent trend from Capcom to offer both a first-person or third-person perspective as an option when playing. The PlayStation Blog and Capcom confirmed both viewpoints will be options to choose from when going through the game. First-person perspectives in this Capcom series are still a relatively new thing. Resident Evil 7 utilized that type of viewpoint when it debuted in 2017, and it was the only perspective offered for that installment. Capcom went on to also include it as an option in Resident Evil Village as well. However, in that game you could choose between first and third-person when you played.  We only just learned about this ninth entry in the Resident Evil series during Summer Game Fest 2025. For the initial Resident Evil Requiem trailer, Capcom focused on including footage from cinematic scenes. We didn’t actually get to really see any gameplay from the event. It mainly focused on introducing the new protagonist Grace Ashcroft and showing how the story will bring us back to Raccoon City.  Resident Evil Requiem will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 27, 2026, and we'll learn more about it throughout 2025..  The post See Resident Evil Requiem in First-Person or Third-Person appeared first on Siliconera.
