If you’re in the market for new wireless earbuds or a portable speaker, the Bose 2025 audio lineup has something for pretty much everyone. This year’s collection features the updated QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen), the rugged SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen), and the new SoundLink Plus Portable Speaker. Whether you want to block out the world or bring the party outdoors, Bose is sticking to its strengths—great sound, smart features, and that classic tough build.
QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen)
The new Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) are basically Bose doing what they do best—cranking out wireless earbuds that make you forget the outside world exists. You still get their signature noise cancellation, but this time Bose is promising even smarter tuning with their updated “CustomTune” tech. Basically, the earbuds adjust sound to match your unique ears, so things like vocals and bass feel a bit more natural.
Battery life holds steady at up to 6 hours on a charge, with the case giving you about three full top-ups before you need to find a wall plug. There’s proper water and sweat resistance now too, so you can actually bring these to the gym without worrying. Bose also tweaked the controls, making it easier to adjust volume or skip tracks without poking around in an app.
SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen)
The Bose SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) is all about bringing solid sound to places regular speakers just can’t handle. This little Bluetooth speaker packs some serious punch for its size, with bold bass and clear audio that actually sounds good outdoors. Thanks to a new Active EQ feature, it automatically tweaks the sound for you, so music always feels balanced—no fiddling required.
Bose also made it tougher. It’s waterproof and dustproof (IP67), meaning you can drop it in the pool, cover it in sand, and it’ll keep going. The powder-coated steel grille and silicone exterior help it survive drops, bumps, and whatever you throw at it. There’s a removable nylon strap so you can clip it to your bag or bike, which is great for anyone who doesn’t want to leave their tunes behind.
Battery life is solid too—up to 12 hours on a single charge, and it recharges through USB-C. Plus, if you have another SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen), you can pair them up for true stereo sound, or sync it with other Bose speakers for party mode. Everything’s customizable in the Bose app, from EQ settings to firmware updates.
SoundLink Plus
The SoundLink Plus is Bose’s latest play for those who want big sound but don’t want to lug around a massive speaker. It’s a portable Bluetooth speaker built for road trips, pool parties, or just blasting music in the backyard. Despite being pretty lightweight, it’s got enough punch to fill a room or keep the tunes going at the beach.
Bose designed the SoundLink Plus with a new acoustic setup. It features a subwoofer, a tweeter, and four passive radiators. So, you get solid bass and clear highs, even outdoors. The whole thing is wrapped in a powder-coated steel grille and soft-touch silicone, so it’s tough enough to handle drops, splashes, or even floating in the pool. Plus, there’s an IP67 rating for water and dust, and a handy nylon strap that makes it easy to clip to bags or bikes.
Battery life is another strong point. You can expect to get up to 20 hours on a charge. If your phone’s dying, you can actually use the SoundLink Plus as a power bank. USB-C charging means you won’t be hunting for old cables.
