Samsung hasn’t yet finished rolling out the One UI 7 update for its smartphones and tablets, and it could take at least another month to offer it to all eligible devices. However, the company won’t keep the users waiting for the Android 16-based One UI 8 update. Multiple reports have suggested that the brand could launch the first One UI 8 beta update in May. It seems that the rumors could be true because the vendor is detailing a new sign-up process in the Samsung Members app ahead of the One UI 8 beta update’s rollout.

Samsung’s first beta update for One UI 8 seems to be right around the corner, as the brand has started showing a new sign-up process. At the time of writing the post, the registrations for the upcoming update aren’t live yet. However, there’s a new One UI 8 beta banner preview in the Samsung Members app for beta sign-ups and allowing you to enter the test program.
The Samsung Members application has popped up a new notice for users around the world showing a “new update for the beta program.”. The notification details that the company is changing how its One UI beta programs work going forward. There’s now a new dedicated “beta program” section at the bottom of the app’s home page, showing whether a beta program is currently live or not.
Furthermore, reports indicate that the Samsung Members app’s new page shows what beta test a user is part of, if any, and suggests some “Beta tips.” The new section is already live in many countries, but the first One UI 8 beta update hasn’t gone live yet.
We can expect the company to release it for the Galaxy S25 series of flagships in the coming days. If we believe the reports, the South Korean giant will launch the stable release of One UI 8 with its new foldable devices in July.
