Samsung has dropped a new teaser for its upcoming foldables, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in focus. Samsung released a video teaser for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which focuses on its thin and light profile, while it also accompanied that with a press release.
Samsung shows us how thin the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is in a new video teaser
If you take a look at the video below, you’ll see the teaser in question. You can see the side profile of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, both in folded and unfolded form. You’ll notice how thin it is.
We’ve exclusively revealed the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 a while back. Back then, we said that the phone will be notably thinner than its predecessor, and Samsung pretty much confirmed that now. It teased the change recently too.
The company says that “the newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet – meticulously crafted and built to last.” Samsung is trying to hype up its upcoming phones.
Samsung also added that “Samsung engineers and designers are refining each generation of the Galaxy Z series to be thinner, lighter and more durable than the last.”
Samsung is closing the gap with the competition from China
Samsung is finally trying to close the gap with the competition from China. The company’s past book-style foldables were thick and heavy in comparison, and quite frankly, felt like they were several generations behind design-wise.
Well, it seems like Samsung is finally waking up, and we could get a properly thin and light Galaxy Z Fold handset. In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also coming. The focus is on the ‘Fold’ handset, though, obviously.
Both of these smartphones are expected to arrive in July, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE aka Galaxy Z Flip FE. The company’s first tri-fold smartphone is expected to arrive later this year.
