Bengaluru-based startup Zoca solves this pain point by managing the entire growth funnel, including identifying demand, optimising for discovery, converting leads, and re-engaging clients autonomously.
“What makes this space unique is the business model. These service professionals aren't focused on selling more units—they're maximising their available time. So, the ROI on every lead, every appointment, and every repeat visit directly impacts their bottom line. Every empty chair is lost revenue. We built Zoca to help them stay fully booked—without lifting a finger,” said Ashish Verma, Co-founder and CEO of Zoca.
In under a year, Zoca claims to have enabled over 1,000 local beauty and wellness businesses to generate over $10 million in revenue and book upwards of 1.2 lakh appointments.
Using a hyperlocal intelligence engine, Zoca pinpoints the services customers seek in each neighbourhood. Its AI agents handle each aspect of the business’s marketing, such as improving local search rankings, responding to leads, sending rebooking reminders, and managing social media content.
With the recent launch of AI-driven ad and social-media agents, Zoca automates the entire marketing stack.
“Zoca is driving business outcomes for the underserved $750 billion global local services market. Ashish and the team have the highest customer obsession with a deep understanding of AI in automating a significant number of use cases applicable to the local services market. Growth AI agents are just the beginning, Zoca will create an agent-led OS for every hyperlocal business to achieve full potential,” said Manasi Shah, Vice President at Accel.
Founded in 2024 by IIT Kharagpur alumnus Ashish Verma and Robin Chauhan, Zoca offers an AI-based growth platform to assist hyperlocal service businesses in getting discovered, booked, and rebooked to obtain more paying clients.
“These businesses are the cornerstones of their communities, but most are left behind in a digital and AI-first world. The growth, the customer retention, and engagement—all on autopilot with Zoca’s AI platform. It’s a total game changer for these local businesses, and we couldn’t be more excited to support the Zoca team on their mission,” said Paul Irving, Partner at GTMfund.
Going ahead, Zoca plans to expand its agent architecture, improve its platform integrations, and roll out its AI solutions to other verticals facing similar challenges.
