Naughty Dog’s Mystery Game Appears to Be a Full-Fledged Project

It was recently revealed that Naughty Dog is working on an unannounced game alongside Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and a known insider has suggested that it’s a full-fledged game as opposed to a small-scale project that many assumed it would be. Naughty Dog has kept the game tightly under wraps, leaving fans scrambling for clues.

Neil Druckmann has confirmed involved in unannounced Naughty Dog game

In a recent interview with Press X to Continue podcast, Druckmann said that “there’s another game that’s being worked on at Naughty Dog where I’m in more of a producer role.” It was already known that the studio is working on more than one single-player projects simultaneously — a departure from the norm.

“I get to mentor, watch this other team, and give feedback and be the executive in the room,” Druckmann added, leading some fans to conclude that it may be a smaller, spin-off type project. However, known insider Shinobi602 responded to one such comment on ResetEra with a solid, “No.”

While we don’t know what Naughty Dog has up its sleeve, there’s been rumblings of Shaun Escayg (Uncharted: The Lost Legacy) leading a new project, with Anthony Newman (The Last of Us Part II) involved.

Whether Naughty Dog is working on another new IP or an existing franchise remains to be seen.
