The buzz around Samsung’s next big Unpacked event is growing louder. It seems Samsung’s upcoming lineup of foldable phones and the highly anticipated Galaxy Watch 8 lineup are clearing some major hurdles, getting closer to their official debut. Recent certifications have given us a sneak peek at what’s to come for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE (also known as Flip Xe), and Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches.

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE receive final certifications

First up, the stars of the show: Samsung’s next-generation foldables. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, the sleek Galaxy Z Flip 7, and even the “affordable” Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE (Fan Edition) have all been spotted (by 91mobiles) making their way through various regulatory bodies.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 (SM-F956U) has notably received certifications from both the FCC and IMDA, signaling its readiness for major markets. These listings confirm essential connectivity features like Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, NFC, and 5G support.

Not to be left out, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE (SM-F741U) also secured its FCC approval. The listing also confirmed similar connectivity options. This is great news for fans hoping for a more budget-friendly foldable option without sacrificing essential features.

Charging Speeds Revealed

Beyond just connectivity, we’re also getting details on how quickly these new foldables will power up. UL Demko certifications reveal that all three, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, are expected to stick with 25W wired charging. Surely many Samsung fans might wish for faster speeds. However, this is consistent with Samsung’s current approach for its foldable devices. Sadly, 2025 will be another year for Samsung without improvements in fast charging.

A Peek at the Galaxy Watch 8’s Battery

It’s not just phones making headlines. The Galaxy Watch 8 (likely the standard model, not the Classic or Ultra) has also surfaced with its battery details. UL Demko certification spilled the beans on two battery capacities: a 300 mAh cell and a 425 mAh cell. These capacities suggest we’ll see two sizes for the standard Watch 8. So, you will have options for different wrist sizes and battery preferences, much like previous generations. On the other hand, a recent leak suggests that the Classic model will only come in one size.

All these certifications are more than just technical listings. They’re strong indicators that these devices are entering the final stages before launch. Passing these regulatory checks means they’re compliant with safety and performance standards, paving the way for mass production and eventual release. According to reliable sources, Samsung will hold the next Unpacked event in July. So, everything seems to align time-wise.
