Samsung accidentally confirms Galaxy Z Fold 7 name

Samsung has just accidentally spilled the name of its next foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The reveal? Not some slick marketing campaign—just a slip-up in the Galaxy Store.

Here’s what happened. If you check the Samsung Internet Browser app listing (spotted by GalaxyClub), you’ll see “Samsung Internet Browser for Fold7 and Flip7.” However, you only see this if your device is running Android 16 with One UI 8. This is a beta software currently limited to the Galaxy S25 series. If you’re on Android 15, the listing won’t show up.

Beta users caught the listing and shared the news online before Samsung could hide the evidence. This is a beta version of the browser, but strangely, it shares the same version number as the stable release.

Don’t expect a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, either. Despite Samsung teasing an “Ultra” device earlier, it looks like those rumors were just that—rumors. Alongside the Fold 7 and Flip 7, it sounds like we’ll get a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE as well. Samsung is also rumored to be working on a tri-fold phone, though word is that the model will launch only in Korea and China.

Also, if you’re wondering about the Flip 7’s chipset, nobody really knows yet. Rumors point to the Exynos 2500, while others claim it’ll be the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The next Samsung Unpacked event is rumored for early July in New York, but Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed anything.
