A move that Samsung just made pretty much confirms that the second Unpacked event will take place in NYC (New York City), as a recent report said. In other words, we’re pretty sure that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be announced in New York.

Samsung’s latest event announcement hints at the Unpacked event in NYC

Samsung actually announced a series of Samsung Health events for runners and Galaxy wearable users. They kick off in New York City on July 13. The company partnered up with two of New York’s largest run clubs. Those clubs are Almost Friday Run Club and Midnight Runners New York.

The company is doing this to raise awareness about how Galaxy wearable devices can help runners get better results. If you read between the lines, this is a great way to promote your upcoming products, including the Galaxy Watch 8 series, designs of which we’ve exclusively revealed recently.

Samsung is aiming to provide interactive rest stations for runners. Each of them will have a hydration station and a stretching area. The company will also share tips with runners and show them how the Energy Score tool and sleep data insights in Samsung Health can improve their running results.

The very first run will kick off on July 13 at the NYCRuns Queens Ice Cream Social 5K. It is open to public, by the way. You can come there and show support, or register through the NYCRuns webpage if you’d like to participate in the event.

Even though Samsung did not mention anything regarding Galaxy Unpacked in its announcement, this is a dead giveaway. The company’s announcement is likely coming soon. By the looks of it, a mid-July launch could be in the cards. In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, the Galaxy Watch 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE are also expected.
