How to launch your browser in private with one click
When you start Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Edge, the browser always opens in standard mode. If you want to open a window in private mode with a single mouse click, you’ll need to modify the relevant shortcut. To do this, first copy the browser shortcut and right-click the copy. Select “Properties” from the context menu, then in the window that appears, add a command to the “Target” field based on your browser: For Chrome: -incognito For Edge: -inprivate For Firefox: -private-window By adding this command to the browser shortcut settings, you can quickly launch a private or incognito window with a single click.IDG Make sure to place the addition directly after the existing target path, separated by a space. Click “OK” to confirm, then test the shortcut. Note: Firefox only allows one instance to run at a time and will display an error if a window is already open. Alternative method: If your browser is pinned to the taskbar, right-click the icon and select “New private window” from the menu to open an incognito session.
