How FarmFluence Is Powering Smart Agriculture from Gujarat
Discover how FarmFluence is helping farmers adopt IoT and AI to boost productivity and sustainability across India and beyond.

Born during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 lockdown, FARMFLUENCE is a Gujarat-based agritech startup transforming how farmers adopt precision technology. With affordable, Made-in-India IoT tools and AI-powered controls, it is empowering growers to boost productivity, reduce labour, and embrace smart, sustainable practices.
Origin & Mission
FARMFLUENCE began during the COVID-19 lockdown when its founder, experimenting with soilless farming, identified tech gaps in precision agriculture. Combining his background in cloud services with a new agricultural focus, he launched a platform to make smart farming simple and scalable. Founded in Ahmedabad in 2020, FARMFLUENCE’s mission is to empower Indian farmers through accessible, intelligent technology that enhances productivity and quality.
The Team Behind the Tech
The company is co-founded by Ridhish Patel, who oversees financial strategy and partnerships, while Gaurav Shah, the founder, leads product innovation and go-to-market efforts. The operational backbone is handled by Prashant Pandya, and Surendra Bakshi heads agronomy.
The core team of nine includes automation engineers, logistics personnel, pre-sales specialists, and software developers, supported by contractual staff for field installations. FARMFLUENCE seeks out team members who are tech-savvy, willing to travel, and hungry to learn and unlearn.
Solving the Core Challenges in Modern Farming
Indian farmers face mounting pressures: erratic weather, depleting soil health, rising labour costs, and the inefficiencies of traditional practices. FARMFLUENCE addresses these issues through a full-stack solution comprising IoT hardware, sensors, AI-enabled control systems, a cloud-based dashboard and Mobile App.
Farmers can remotely monitor and manage irrigation, climate control, and nutrient delivery systems via a mobile app, making high-tech farming accessible even in rural areas. Unlike pricier, imported alternatives, FARMFLUENCE offers a customizable, Made-in-India solution—affordable, intuitive, and grounded in local needs.
FARMFLUENCE caters to farmers, growers, farm developers, and farm-to-fork service providers, acquiring customers primarily through partnerships, referrals, and word-of-mouth driven by results.
Business Model and Revenue Streams
The startup operates on a diversified model:
- Hardware sales (IoT kits and sensors)
- Recurring cloud platform subscriptions
- Technical support and Annual Maintenance Contracts (CAMC)
Its transparent pricing, easy-to-understand product descriptions, and modular offerings simplify decision-making for customers and support wide scalability.
Growth, Impact, and Innovation
In just a few years, FARMFLUENCE has served over 500 large-scale farms, expanded to seven countries, and recorded a 110% YoY gross revenue increase with 28% net profit in the last fiscal year. These milestones reflect not only a strong product-market fit but also the startup’s broader impact on sustainable agriculture.
Beyond numbers, FARMFLUENCE is transforming Indian farming with measurable environmental and social outcomes. Its precision solutions help reduce fertilizer usage, conserve electricity, decrease labour dependency, and boost crop yields. Among its latest innovations are an Instant Soil Testing Kit for traditional farms and a dedicated tech stack for mushroom growers, addressing nuanced agricultural needs.
The startup’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. FARMFLUENCE has been honoured with the 2024 CSR Award for Sustainable Farming, featured in Forbes India’s Top 200 Companies with Global Potential, and recognised as an Agri Champion by the UN FAO programme.
The Road Ahead
Looking ahead, FARMFLUENCE aims to expand its reach across more Indian states by setting up sales and support offices in key agricultural zones. It plans to scale operations, broaden its product offerings, and continue investing in R&D to meet emerging farming challenges. By staying rooted in innovation and responsiveness, the company envisions becoming a leading force in India’s precision agriculture movement and extending its impact to global markets.
