During the June 2025 State of Play, a reveal trailer appeared for a new Arc System Works and Sony fighting game starring Marvel heroes and villains called Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Like BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, it uses a 2D perspective. It will launch on the PS5 and PC in 2026 There are 4v4 team battles in the game, and heroes and villains from across the Marvel catalog appear. Among the ones shown were Spider-Man, Storm, Doctor Doom, Captain America, Ms Marvel, Iron Man, and Thor. Someone playing could just use a "leader" character and call in the other three as assists, or could constantly swap to use all four. You can see the full June 2025 State of Play below. The developer discussion also talked about the characters, gameplay mechanics, and the general approach being taken to this new tag fighter.
