The Xiaomi SU7 Arrives in Gran Turismo

Remember the SU7, Xiaomi’s smash-hit electric vehicle? Following its massive success, the Chinese tech giant has announced that the follow-up SU7 Ultra will appear in Gran Turismo 7, via a partnership with Polyphony Digital. The SU7 Ultra was announced late last year, and even broke “The Nürburgring Nordschleife World’s Fastest Four-Door Car” record.

The team-up follows a May 2025 meeting in Beijing between Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi and Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. During his visit, Yamauchi test-drove the SU7 Ultra and toured Xiaomi’s EV factory. A Statement from Yamauchi reads:

We are delighted to begin this partnership with Xiaomi. The Chinese automotive industry has progressed rapidly, and Xiaomi — a newly established player in the automotive sector — has already created an exceptional vehicle, Xiaomi SU7, as a pivotal part of its comprehensive smart ecosystem, which spans smartphones and wearables to home appliances.
Beyond this, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Prototype has shattered conventional performance benchmarks at the Nürburgring. Witnessing these achievements, I am deeply moved by Xiaomi’s courage, curiosity, passion, and relentless dedication to realizing such milestones. This spirit resonates profoundly with Gran Turismo and Polyphony Digital’s philosophy.

The  Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features Xiaomi’s HyperEngine V8s tri-motor configuration system, a top speed exceeding 350 kph, and a 0–100 kph acceleration of 1.98 seconds. Additionally, Xiaomi and Gran Turismo plan to further collaborate on the development of a Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO concept vehicle.
