Former Xbox Classic Is Just $1.99 on PS Store for a Limited Time

An underrated former Xbox classic action game is just $1.99 in a new limited-time PS Store deal that lasts two weeks. The 2021 PS4 release of 2005’s Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is 90% off as part of the new ‘Next Level Savings’ promotion.

Stubbs the Zombie 90% off in new PS Store deal until May 22

For the uninitiated, Stubbs the Zombie is also described as a “reverse horror” game. Set in retro-futuristic 1959, players are a zombie themselves as opposed to a human fighting one, and their task is to kill people and eat their brains. The game ended up causing controversy for being “cannibalistic.”

Nevertheless, it’s a fun little game with a pretty decent trophy list that’ll keep you busy for a while. The Platinum trophy is also fairly straightforward.

Stubbs the Zombie is playable on the PS5, but isn’t part of PS Plus Premium‘s cloud streaming library.

“It’s 1959 and the city of Punchbowl, PA, is a beacon of progress and ideal living,” the PS Store synopsis reads. “Show the living that law and order are no match for a dead man on a mission. Your boyfriend’s back Maggie, and Punchbowl is gonna be in trouble!”

Stubbs the Zombie also features a co-op mode.
