Key PS Store Section Goes Missing, PS Plus Users Concerned

An important PS Store section has curiously gone missing, and PS Plus users are beginning to worry about its removal. Last week, we reported that Sony didn’t update PS Store’s ‘Last Chance to Play‘ section when April 2025’s Extra and Premium games went live, which is a departure from the norm. We expected the disappearance to be temporary, but over a week later, the section is nowhere to be seen.

PS Plus users often rely on PS Store ‘Last Chance to Play’ section

For the uninitiated, PS Store’s ‘Last Chance to Play’ section is where Sony reveals the following month’s Extra and Premium departures, allowing players to prioritize games in the catalog accordingly.

Typically, the list of departures is revealed at the same time as the catalog is refreshed with new games, giving players ample notice to wrap up their campaigns or play games that are scheduled to leave the service. There have been a few odd occasions where the departure list wasn’t updated simultaneously with new game additions. This time, however, is different as there’s a gap of more than a week at the time of this writing.

Like many, I was expecting Sony to reveal the list of games leaving PS Plus in May sometime on Tuesday, giving players a one-month notice since May’s catalog refresh is expected on the 20th (third Tuesday of the month). Players are understandably expressing concerns, but we’re still keeping our fingers crossed that the section will be back sometime this week.

Some optimistic players think that there simply aren’t any games leaving PS Plus in May, but we advise our readers to check out the monthly departure predictions that we share as it’s better to be safe than sorry.
