Vivo recently announced the launch of two new additions to its tablet lineup in the form of the Vivo Pad5 Pro and Vivo Pad SE, which are priced at around 400 and 140 USD, at least when converted. That said, both devices are intended for slightly-different audiences, despite some similarities.

The Vivo Pad5 Pro is the more expensive of the pair, and as such comes with more high-end features including a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, along with RAM and storage options maxing out at 16GB and 512GB, respectively. It also features a 13-inch LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 3096 x 2064 pixel resolution.
Available in four different colours (including a separate variant with a lighter build), the Pad5 Pro also packs a large 12,050 mAh battery with 66W charging, and a 13MP main camera with support for 4K video recording; in front is an 8MP camera which handles selfies and video calls.
Meanwhile, the Vivo Pad SE is designed for a more educational experience for younger users, with pre-loaded apps for learning and play. It tones down the hardware offerings however, which include a processor that’s suspected to be a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a lower 6GB of RAM, as well as 5MP cameras for the front and back.
Even the screen is more modest with a 12.3-inch size, a 90Hz refresh rate and 2464 x 1600 pixel resolution. It’s also powered by a smaller 8,500 mAh battery with 15W charging. both devices do come with Origin OS 5 HD though, which according to Vivo is more suited for a desktop-style approach.
