IAMAI elects Billdesk co-founder M N Srinivasu as chairman till 2027

Srinivasu replaces Harsh Jain, co-founder and CEO of Dream Sports who held the position for the 2023-2025 term.

IAMAI elects Billdesk co-founder M N Srinivasu as chairman till 2027

The Internet and Mobile Association of India's (IAMAI) governing council has elected M N Srinivasu, Co-founder, Billdesk as the chairman of the association.

With this appointment, Srinivasu replaces Dream Sports co-founder and CEO Harsh Jain, who held the position for the 2023-2025 term. Prior to Jain, the position was held by Sanjay Gupta, Vice President and Country Manager of Google.

Additionally, IAMAI also announced that Razorpay's CEO and co-founder Harshil Mathur, and PhonePe's founder and CEO Sameer Nigam have been elected the vice chairman and the treasurer of the association respectively, replacing MakeMyTrip's Rajesh Magow and Times Internet's VC Satyan Gajwani.

Srinivasu, Mathur and Nigam will together form the association’s executive council, along with the ex officio member Dr Subho Ray, President, IAMAI, the release read.

IAMAI's governing council election is held every two years, “The new 24-member governing council and the new executive council of the IAMAI will take charge, for the next two years, 2025–2027, from the present councils at the upcoming annual general meeting,” IAMAI said.

IAMAI is a not-for-profit industry body with over 600 members, including Indian and multinational corporations, as well as startups.

According to the association, it aims to ensure the progress of the internet and the digital economy; and public policy and advocacy, business-to-business conferences, research, promotion of startups and promotion of consumer trust and safety are some of its major areas of activities.
