AH Gemini Live Camera Sharing

Google dropped a handful of quick announcements at the very start of the Google I/O 2025 keynote. One of those announcements relates to Gemini Live, as Google announced that the Gemini Live camera and screen sharing is now rolling out to all Android and iOS users.

Gemini Live’s camera and screen sharing feature is rolling out widely to Android & iOS

It’s rolling out starting today, Google announced. During the keynote, Google said that the testers have been using these features intensively for a while, and that they’re ready to reach everyone.

The company even shared a video clip in which it showed the features in action. You can, essentially, fire up your phone’s camera and show Gemini Live what you see. Based on that, you can have a conversation with Google’s AI.

For example, a person in the video asked Google why the palms she sees are so short. They were not, so Gemini had the perfect response ready for that, as it was kind of a dumb statement.

Google showed off the feature in a rather fun video

Google actually put this video together in that way on purpose. Gemini spent the whole video correcting people’s statements about objects they’re seeing, basically. Needless to say, it’s a fun watch.

That’s only one example, of course. You can essentially ask Gemini all sorts of questions. It can help you with your job interview, or if you’re getting ready to run in a marathon, it’s ready for pretty much anything. Those are the examples Google took, by the way.

We’ve talked about this feature earlier this year, as it was available on select devices and for select users. Well, it’s rolling out wide as we speak, and should become available to you shortly. As a side note, this tech is powered by Google’s Project Astra.
