The PS Store always has some demos to check out before players decide to purchase a full game. The latest demo added to the digital storefront today is for a game that should maybe be on more people’s radar.
Blades of Fire has a demo on PS Store
Blades of Fire is the latest game developed by MercurySteam and published by 505 Games. For people unfamiliar with the studio, it is most known for its work on Metroid Dread, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. It is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 22, which is just a week away. However, players can check it out right now with the new demo available on the PS Store today.
“From the award-winning studio MercurySteam, comes a new action-adventure where you forge your own weapons and face fierce enemies in a unique combat system,” says the game’s description. “Join Aran de Lira on his journey to find the real purpose of his fate!”
The Blades of Fire demo features the very beginning of the game, allowing players to forge their first weapons and set forth on Aran’s journey. Progress made in the demo can be carried over to the full game, making it a solid way to check it out before purchasing the game.
Blades of Fire can be preordered on the PS Store right now for $59.99. Those who do purchase the game before its release date will get the Adventurer Pack for free. This includes the Iron Paladin Attire, Lord of Steel Attire, Hammer Head for Hyssop weapon, and additional forging materials. PS Plus members get a small discount. Until launch, subscribers can get a 10% discount, bringing that price down to $53.99.
