How to shut up an LLM in a WA group environment?

we are looking for software deveoper with WA API (or other messaging experience) plus LLM prompting chatbots, experience. I have an intriguing problem: My start-up is in the WA Groups API beta, where a business can create a group for the first time, especially for relationship selling use cases like Real estate, Luxury Retail, Private banking and B2B Sales. Today, buyers text sellers over WhatsApp in high ticket transactions or long sales cycles, these are our verticals. We are placing AI agents in these new business groups, but there is 1 huge challenge: The LLM wants to answer every god damn message, and the reality is, the LLM should be silent most of the time. Yes, we have changed the prompts accordingly but I'd love to work with an experienced eng in this area, as this is very new territory.
