Summary: Samsung is debuting the Galaxy Xcover 7 and Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, both with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. These also sport the MIL-STD-810H standard for better durability than most of Samsung’s other products.
Today, Samsung is announcing two additions to its rugged lineup. The Galaxy Xcover 7 and the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro. These devices are “designed to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced, high-intensity work environments.”
The Galaxy Xcover 7 sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ display, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This, surprisingly, does sport a microSD card slot as well. All are powered by a 4,350 mAh capacity battery. As far as durability goes, the Galaxy Xcover 7 has IP68 for water and dust resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810H. It does also have Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus+ and is tested for sanitizers.
The MIL-STD-810H standard means that the Galaxy Xcover 7 and Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro are able to withstand drops, extreme temperatures, and vibrations. Gorilla Glass Victus+ is going to be able to withstand scratches and impacts as well. Perhaps the most important aspect here is the Touch Sensitivity, allowing users to use gloves and continue using these devices.
The Galaxy Xcover 7 will be available on May 8.
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro’s S Pen takes productivity to the extreme
Samsung also bundles an S Pen with the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, allowing industry professionals to use it to sign documents, and get things done with ease.
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro sports a 10.1-inch TFT LCD display, also sporting the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. It also sports 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with a 12-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Powered by a 10,100 mAh capacity battery.
Much like the Glaaxy Xcover 7, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro also sports IP68 and MIL-STD-810H, along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, and is tested for sanitizers.
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro will be available in early June, with pricing set to come later on.
